A pause in the action

Surprise!

A week delay!

But that isn't going to stop me from proposing a question or 2 to you folks.

Even thought I don't have a ton of time to write, with a busy work schedule and all I think I could still find some time to answer any questions that you may have.

So..

Who do you want to know more about? Any of the background characters or villians I mentioned?
Do you want to know anything about the world itself? More history? Random events?

Is there anything else you have a burning, or at least itching, desire to know?

Ask it in the comments. I can and will answer you there.

  1. I'm a bit curious about the Praetorians. Is there any random trivia that isn't plot-important at this time? (since we are doing the introductions and all..)?

  2. How about something about Jonathan Kilroy, the first super-soldier? Or maybe the Vrall Invasion? I'm also really curious about the Janitor, but I get the feeling you're saving him for later.

  3. Random Stranger:
The Praetorians were founded back in the mid 1950’s as The Golden Host. With the founding 5 members of Captain Freedom, Frannsisco the Magnificent, The Praetorian, The Human X-Ray and Sleek. Their primary task up to the 1960’s was keeping the city safe from rogue Nazi agents and to watch for “weather balloon” Attacks.

In the 60s they had to deal with criminals like The Brown Acid, HiveMike and The Yellow Syndicate.
Before the capture and foiling of the scheme of The Brown Acid and Hive Mike they were merely tolerated. But after the rescue of three separate communes and a junior high from the mind control drug the team was loved.

It was during the First Vrall Invasion that The team truly coalesced. The successfully repelled the takeover of the city from 2 Vrall Kchka Class Battle Cruisers. But in the midst of the fight The praetorian los this life deflecting a C-Bomb from the heart of the city. In remembrance the Team unanimously voted to rename themselves The Praetorians.

The Praetorian’s base is a 5 storie tall white tower at the easternmost edge of Golden Gate park. It is equipped with a pair of helipads and 1 aircraft hangar on the upper portion of the building. It extends 6 more stories underground.

Kilroy has an arc coming up. So unfortunately no additional information on him at the moment.

The Janitor and his roommate will make an appearance here and there. But like before only the readers will have any clue, well and maybe Doctor Pandemonium might too.

The Vrall are a 7’ - 8’ tall crocidilian race with dusky green scales and red eyes with vertical pupils. Very sensitive to cold. Warlike demeanor, have had 4 separate invasions of earth foiled by various supergroups over the last 20 years. Not counting the First Vrall Invasion in 1963. It is said by some that you are not a super hero unless you have punched a Vrall in the face. They are currently at war with the Dvyjkk Collective.

In 1947 a spacecraft crashed in Roswell New Mexico. It was a small probe ship set there for just that reason with a pair of condemned criminals inside. The ensuing frenzy and autopsies were used as an excuse for the Vrall to launch an attack on earth to “Avenge” their fallen comrades. They made a serious blunder though. The Empire had not seen any major technological improvements in nearly 2 centuries. They assumed that the Earth would have similar advancement rates. It obviously didn’t. When they arrived their battle cruisers were not sufficient to take the Earth by force. In an effort to escape several of them detonated C-Bombs, which were warheads that split the Carbon Atom, over major population centers. 4 of the 5 were stopped by heroic sacrifice of the men and women of the earth. The fifth decimated a lone research outpost in the Antarctic. Scholars to this way are trying to find out what was so important at that one spot to cause a whole battle cruiser to panic and bomb.

Thanks, but I'm afraid (drumroll, please) you just raised more questions. For example: Who are the Dvyjkk Collective, and have they ever invaded Earth? Was the First Vrall Invasion in 1948 or 1963, and if it was the second, what took them so long? Does Earth have any other big ET enemies? And if the Empire has such slow tech development, why have they re-invaded so many times? Have their slugfests with Earth compressed their tech development or are they just stubborn? And last but definitely not least, do the Vrall have any supers?

Sorry, but now I gotta know.
